Special Notice to Racers and Fans
The 2010 Stateline Speedway racing season will see some long awaited improvements to the Seltice Way access points to Stateline Speedway.
A recent conversation with the Idaho State Department of Transportation in conjunction with the Post Falls Highway District, came with super news for the future, and is also somewhat bitter sweet during our first two opening months. The old turn-off area from Seltice Way to Beck Road over the uncontrolled Railroad Crossing will see a total renovation and realignment with a four lane approach and crossing area, complete with state of the art Railroad safety signals and barricades. This will all tie to the new realignment of Beck Road including a new freeway off ramp from Interstate-90.
The anticipated timeline for the accelerated project will begin the 2nd week of April and is scheduled for completion the 3rd week of May. By closing this approach completely, the work that needs to be done can be accomplished faster avoiding a lengthy process lasting well into the 2010 race season at Stateline Speedway.
For those approaching the race track from westbound or eastbound on I-90 take the PlesantView Road exit and continue on PlesantView Road, then left on Prairie Avenue and then left again on Beck Road leading straight to the race track. Those fans using Seltice Way East or Westbound take PlesantView Road north to Prairie Avenue and then a left onto Beck Road.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but happily anticipate the improvement for the fans and especially the racers who have been burdened with the old Beck Road hill climb and rough Railroad surface. Both the State and Post Falls Highway District Departments have assured us there will be adequate detour signage to follow guiding you to the track.
Thank You,
Joe and Walt Doellefeld, Stateline Speedway.
